- What is Cruisenegotiators
Cruisenegotiators is an online reverse auction where Cruisers place an itinerary and travel agents within our network give their best price, amenity package, knowledge and customer service. Also, many resources and affiliations that assist the Cruiser.
- What is a Cruiser?
A Cruiser is someone interested in a Cruise.
- Where do the Travel Agents come from?
Travel Agents within our Preferred Travel Agent Network have been recruited to join our service and offer the best price and package to bids (itineraries) submitted by the Cruisers.
- Is there a certain requirement that Cruisenegotiators ask from prospective Travel Agents?
All Travel Agents must include their CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association) number, contact information, and they must agree to our Travel Agent terms and conditions. They must agree to customer service, and a committment to honor any requests given by the purchasing Cruiser. If there is any complaints brought to our attention from a Cruiser, we will bring this to the Travel Agent's attention.
- Can I place several cruise bids (itineraries)?
Absolutely! Many cruisers have several itineraries in mind, and they are looking for the best price and package before narrowing down their cruise. Also, if none of the offers (given by Travel Agents) are not satisfactory, you can place the bid again once it has expired.
- Can I work with several Travel Agents?
Yes! This is a reverse auction, use the service. The purpose of Cruise Negotiators is to eliminate the cruiser's search through the thousands of online agencies, and bring both Cruisers and Travel Agents together. With this in mind, work with several offers until you find the one that satisfies you the most.
- How would you describe an Amenity?
As quoted by www.dictionary.com: A feature that increases attractiveness or value, especially of a piece of real estate or a geographic location. Amenities come in all size and shapes, for example, a Travel Agent will include prepaid gratuities, bottle of wine, dinner in a formal restaurant (on board ship), and much more. Check with the Travel Agents to see if they have any amenity packages. Sometimes, they may not offer amenities but the lowest price, and you will have to analyze and see what is better: A bottle of wine, or hundreds of dollars in savings, or both.
- Can I get an exact cabin location, and cabin category?
It's all up to you! When you place your cruise itinerary, there is a text box to add any additional comments (such as cabin location, and cabin category).
- What about air-inclusive reservations?
The Travel Agents can quote a direct price from the Cruise Line regarding airfare. Don't forget to ask them.
- I was reading that Cruise Negotiators has an affiliation with Kayak.com for airfare and much more, can I capitalize on this?
Great question! If you feel that the airfare is a little high (with the cruiseline), and would like to get a lower price, exact flight times, or attach miles, Click on the Kayak banner (on flight center page) and check online.
(Cruise Negotiators is not responsible for any errors regarding airfare and your independent reservation through our affiliation with Kayak. Make sure you have all flight times and departure dates and arrival correct before making a purchase. Ask the attending Travel Agents to assist you with this, and book directly on Cruise Negotiators website.)
- Hotels?
The same applies to Hotels! We have an affiliation with www.hotels.com, and they are available on our resource page under Hotels. Click on the banner and get the best price.
- I still don't understand your concept !!!!
Imagine this, you are searching the best auto dealership in the city for the best price. You know what make and model you like, but would like to get the best price and possible finance. Before the internet, you would have to spend hours if not weeks before a discovery was made. The introduction of the internet changed everything, and consumers were able to look at prices, finance, make and model online, before even planning a visit to the local dealership.
Some of the major cities have thousands of dealerships.
The same applies true to Cruise Negotiators. With the thousands of agents and agencies online, a customer would spend weeks shopping the many locations before a decision or a "step in the right direction" could be made. Cruisenegotiators brought the Travel Agent and Cruiser together, with ease and convenience. All a Cruiser needs to do is submit a Cruise Itinerary, and watch as the many agents offer their best price. The auction ends in 72 hours, and the cruiser has the right to re-list the Itinerary.
It's up to the Cruiser to make contact. Once several prices have been submitted (from Travel Agents) a contact phone number and email address is given. We (Cruise Negotiators) have researched the legitimacy of the prospective Travel Agents, so their is no need to worry of spin-doctor or scam artist attempting to collect information. If necessary, ask the Agent(s) their CLIA number.
- What about Travel Insurance?
There are itineraries that you will find being extremely affordable, so your first thought is why spend the additional money on insuring my trip. We understand this mentality, but no one can predict the future, and accidents do happen. Imagine a scenario where something happened, the medical bills added up (onboard), and the possibility of an emergency medical evacuation arose! Discuss this scenario and many others with the Travel Agents and the different packages they offer.
- Cruise Books?
You better believe it! We have an affiliation with Amazon.com for the most current publications, books and videos regarding cruises.
- Hurricanes !!!!
The possibility of 2009 being overactive with Tropical Storms and Hurricanes is real. Discuss your options with the Travel Agents, and keep current with the latest Hurricane developments on our website.
- I have special needs (i.e. Wheelchair, Diabetic menus, Kosher meals), what can I do?
Many Cruise Lines can facilitate to your special needs and requirements. Discuss this option with the Travel Agents, and list any special needs in your cruise bid.
- Shore excursions?
A popular shore adventure offered specifically by the Cruise Lines. Some of them range from USD$14 to several hundred, they also vary from beach parties to volcano helicopter fly-by. Discuss this with the Travel Agents and if they offer this in the amenity package.
- I already purchased a cruise with an agency outside of your network, can I use your service?
Be very careful, if final payment is already made, you may be subject to penalties if you wish to cancel your reservation and use our service. Discuss this in detail with your Travel Agent as penalties can be quite large, and we discourage you from doing this.
- I am currently located in the U.K., and my traveling companion is from Australia. May we use your service?
Absolutely! Make note of asking the Travel Agents if they are able to sell cruises outside of the U.S. and Canada, as there are Cruise Lines that will not permit this type of reservation, and you can be subject to penalties or simply denied boarding.
- Passports? Visas? Help !!!!!!!!!!!!
As listed on www.cibt.com
The Air portion of The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) will require, with some exceptions, citizens of the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the British Overseas Territory of Bermuda to present a passport to enter (or re-enter) the United States when arriving by air from any part of the Western Hemisphere beginning January 23, 2007.
Who will the travel initiative affect?
U.S. citizens will need a passport to enter the United States by air from Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, South and Central America, and the Caribbean (otherwise known as the Western Hemisphere).
Also under this rule, citizens of Mexico, Canada, and Bermuda will now have to have a passport when entering the United States by air.
While United States citizens are currently required to have passports to enter most countries in Central and South America, this rule makes clear that the passport must be presented upon return to the United States as well.
The initiative will be implemented in two phases. The timeline is as follows:
Phase 1: Beginning January 23, 2007, U.S. citizens and citizens of Canada, Mexico and Bermuda traveling by air between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda will be required to present a valid U.S. passport to enter (or re-enter) the U.S.
Phase 2: As early as January 1, 2008, U.S. citizens traveling between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Bermuda by land or sea (including ferries), could be required to present a valid U.S. passport or other documents as determined by the Department of Homeland Security in a forthcoming separate rule. While recent legislative changes permit a later deadline, the Departments of State and Homeland Security are working to meet all requirements as soon as possible. Ample advance notice will be provided to enable the public to obtain acceptable documents for land/sea entries.
Cruise Negotiators strongly advises all Cruisers to get in contact with CIBT at 800 929 2428 (Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 7:00 pm CST) to reach a customer service agent.
- What should I pack?
This is a great question. Make sure your Travel Agent goes over all of the details, as you may be required to bring formal wear for dining. Also, ask about gratuity to the Agents.
- If transfers are to expensive with the Cruise Line, what company do you recommend?
Cruise Negotiators strongly advises you to visit www.thetransferanswer.com
- I have cruised several times, and I think that I am ready to sell cruises out of my home. Any suggestions?
If you are ready or just interested in entering the fascinating world of Cruises and Travel, Crusie Negotiators strongly advises you to visit Americas Vacation Center at www.joinavc.com
- How does Cruise Negotiators generate money?
The service is absolutely free to Cruisers, and will remain this way. If you are satisfied with our service, and we have assisted you in saving what could be up to hundreds of dollars, a simple donation of 2 dollars or more, can be made to assist us with I.T. (Information Technology).
Cruisenegotiators generates money through membership costs (for Travel Agents) and many affiliations.
- What is the future for Cruise Negotiators?
Cruisenegotiators is now a division of CQuest Solutions. The Web Development department of CQuest is currently designing a new Cruise Social Network!
